About the Speaker, Dr. Josh Luke

After the Affordable Care Act passed introducing Value Based Care, Dr. Luke left the C-Suite and founded the not-for-profit National Readmission Prevention Collaborative which continues to provide online educational resources for healthcare executives. Dr. Josh Luke ascended to become the foremost hospital and post-acute authority on the readmission penalty and twice served as executive host of the World Congress on Readmissions. After starting his career in healthcare as a nursing home administrator, Dr. Josh Luke ascended to become a hospital CEO by age 32. Before leaving the c-suite, Luke served in four hospital CEO roles as well as serving as the Vice President of Post Acute Services for a non-profit health system. During his more than ten years in C-suite healthcare roles Dr. Luke oversaw acute rehab, behavioral health, home health & hospice and is an advocate for non-medical home care. Dr. Luke was later asked to design post-acute coursework based on his best-selling readmission book and serve as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Southern California’s Sol Price School of Public Policy.
